Get the Time on Your nails

Many years back, I read a book "The Third Millennium", which was in fact a fantasy book, projecting the advancement of technology. One of the gadgets that I remember was inserting a watch in the human skin and the watch would run for ever, taking its "fuel" from the electricity available in the human body. Well that was fiction - but fiction generates ideas and let innovative minds transform them in to reality. Now the thumbnail watch below is making headlines - a fictional dream that someone fantasied many years ago.
While you read the rest of the post, don't forget to dream things and share with friends - may be one day your dream comes true !!
We have seen many different types of futuristic watches with strange shapes and design but none so unique as this. Now lets welcome the Nail watch, that can be worn on the thumb. You may have never seen a watch that can be worn on the thumb but times are going to change thanks to Timex. Timex, in collaboration with Core77, held a global design competition called 2154: the future of time design. So what we are seeing here is the TX54 concept which was a runner up there.

iPhone Capsule, the Mini iPhone With 2.4 Inch AMOLED Display

We have heard of an iPhone nano or two, but how about we take the idea down a notch and get the iPhone Capsule? This mini iPhone is created by the same Andro Gama that brought you yesterday’s Sony Ericsson Xperia tablet. This Apple concept measures a mere 4.89 x 10.1 x 1.35 cm and weighs 87 grams.

Its specifications include a 2.4 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, that’s protected against dust, fingerprints, water and scratches. There’s also a 3.2 megapixel camera on board with support for video recording of up to 30 fps in VGA model. You can control the iPhone Capsule by shaking it, with features such as turning on or off music, changing the tune and volume being available through such gestures.

The handset comes with a stainless steel frame and supports 3D stereo sound provided by the headset it comes with. As far as connectivity goes, you’ve got 3G, HSDPA and WiFi, plus Bluetooth and USB. A simplified iOS is also included, as seen here and the front side of this mini iPhone really reminds me of an older Nokia model, a fashion one that belonged to the L’amour series. Does anyone else remember that?

Apple suppliers building cheaper, 8GB iPhone 4 - sources

Asian suppliers to Apple Inc have begun manufacturing a lower priced version of its hot-selling iPhone 4 with a smaller 8 gigabyte flash drive, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

The flash drive for the 8GB iPhone 4 is being manufactured by a Korean company, one of the people said on Tuesday, declining to name the company. Apple currently sources its flash drives from Japan 's Toshiba and South Korea 's Samsung Electronics.
The sources declined to be identified because the information has not been made public.

Apple, which demands high levels of secrecy and security from suppliers and employees, declined to comment.

The existing iPhone 4 was first launched in June 2010 with 16 GB and 32 GB versions, with a white version added to the lineup in April. The 8 GB version expected to launch within weeks, one of the sources said.

In addition to launch of the smaller iPhone 4, Apple is targetting an end September launch for the next-generation iPhone 5, one source said, confirming earlier reports on Apple follower blogsites and industry websites.

The new iPhone , which some call the iPhone 4S because of its largely identical appearance to the existing iPhone 4, will have a bigger touch screen, better antenna and an 8-megapixel camera, one of the people said.

The iPhone 5's two manufacturers have been told to prepare production capacity for up to 45 million units altogether, the source said. The phone will be made by Hon Hai and Pegatron, the person added.
